I want to set relationship between Penetration and Brand health Metric say, 'Use Now a Days'. I have done the correlation on the monthly discrete data of both the metrics i.e. Penetration & 'Use Now a Days' and getting the value of '0.52', now I rolling(5 month central rolling) of both the data the correlation improves to '0.74'. So Is 5 month Central Rolling of the data for FMCG brand is Statistically fine? and by 5 month central rolling I mean..taking average of 2 months back, 2 month after and 1 month of current data.
