Is 1M Imidazole stock solution sensitive to light?

I am planning to prepare a new stock of imidazole before I proceed to purifying my proteins. It just so happens that there's still around 250mL stock of autoclaved 1M imidazole that has been exposed to room light, room temperature for a very long time (around 8 months). Can I still use the 1M imidazole since I was told that at that particular concentration, imdizole is stable?

Depends how lazy you are. I'd just make a new stock.

According to Merck's website it's stable for 2 years at 2-8°C after autoclaving (though I'm not sure if the pH remains the same after being autoclaved).
