Do you think using colorimetric methods to investigate the type of photosynthetic mechanism might be appropriate?
What methods do you recommend other than Spectrophotometry and HPLC methods? I would like to know your suggestions.

The choice of method depends on the type of reactants and products. However, colorimetric method can be applied if the absorbance peak wavelengths for the reactants and products are significantly different.
Spectrofluorimetry and electrochemical methods such as cyclic voltammetry can also be used.
