Hello,

I currently measured the dielectric constant of a neutral complex which has some crystal solvent using PPMS. The measurement was carried out by a successive cooling and heating from 10 K to 300 K. Surprisingly, a hysteresis loop was observed between the cooling curve for the dielectric and that of the heating curve. 

How can one account for this? What are the possible reasons for this observed phenomenon?
