In a Vanadium redox flow battery, for discharging at constant current density the electrolyte has to be circulated a number of times until the battery reaches the cut off voltage limit. Provided the electrolyte undergoes a cycle flowing through the cell in and out a number of times, what are the chances for the V2 ion got oxidised to V3 and then to V4 and then to V5 on subsequent circulation.
