I'm looking for data (mainly related to management: growth rate, canopy size, soil and climate preferences, etc.) about tropical trees used in tropical agroforestry.
Have you ever heard about a database or a source of technical information available to agroforest managers?
That would really facilitate land management and field experiments.
As always, I am trying to use these questions to centralize information from different sources. RG questions tend to be well indexed in Google for different users. Thank you for your contributions!

I would try Gilmar arruda in Brasil or José Augusto Padua. Also the journal HALAC - The Environmental Latin Amrerican journal.
You must obtain your own data and copyright it to yourself. I feel these days there are too many problems using other people's data, especially when you see the same data producing different published results even though it had identical analysis. Yikes! :)
Well Andrew Paul McKenzie Pegman, if you are trying to design an experiment, or build anything, you rely on other people's work to guide your decisions.
When trying to go from point A to B, you may need a map created by someone before you had to travel.
But I get your point, and I wish I had the time and funding to get all of this data myself.
What I am looking for is very technical, just like a structural engineer has access to knowledge about materials, I am looking for information about agroforestry systems to design experiments, optimally.
