Concerning liquid liquid extraction, in two stage countercurrent extraction how can we consider no. of cycles and what will be considered for first cycle loaded and raffinate also?

The stage where the barren solvent enters is where the raffinate leaves. We do not use the word "cycle" in continuous counter current operations.
