My research involves comparing the results of finite element analysis ( using ABAQUS) with analytical results. The problem is drain induced consolidation in embankments.

I am not a geotechnical engineer, but I think, in the absence of test or field results one is NOT able to determine the coefficient!
The result that you may obtain is the consequence of your assumptions in development of the theory, so no compliance with the real world exist.
I'd suggest you to find real data published in many well known journal, i.e. Geotechnique, ASCE.. for data.
You can get measured data from the already published papers, also you can validate your numerical model with 1D Terzaghi solution and 2D, 3D exact solutions from following references.
