I have to transport a bacterial culture to another laboratory for which stab culture technique is the chosen option. I am a little confused- after the culture has been stabbed into the agar, does it need to be sealed with paraffin wax?
Its always better to seal with paraffin to avoid possible contamination. If not sealed then there remain the possibility of growth of contaminating bacterial on the surface of media.
