I have built a model in ANSYS Multiphysics that represents a bimorph - A substrate with two piezoelectric patches on both ends. The piezoelectric patches are modelled using SOLID227 elements and they have a voltage coupling condition to correctly model the behaviour of conductor coated on the patches. The voltage coupling is enforced using the "Coupling/Ceqn" field under "Preprocessor".
However, when I run "Solve", I get the error that "Node number 20 direction VOLT included in coupled sets 1 and 2 ". The error then shows for 10 other nodes. Even though, I very carefully selected the nodes for the Coupling.
How do I get around this? Your help is deeply appreciated as I am pressed for time.
You have to merge the nodes. Because it is difficult to delete the node after meshing.
@ Pankaj Biswas The nodes are not near each other. The coupled sets mentioned are on the opposite sides of the beam. That is one of the major issues. I have tried NUMMRG, ALL. Does not seem to work.
You can to do the following:
1. You can deactivate the required nodes by ekill command and check it.
2. You can check the boundary conditions.
