Dear Zeinah,

Use NUMMRG command for merging nodes in ANSYS APDL. You need to add a command block in the mesh to merge nodes in Workbench. You can use command allsel, below, area(any entity to which the nodes are attached) for selecting only nodes attached to the interested entity.
