Hi! There's really not an easy answer to your question. It mainly depends on the mechanical stucture, the actuator type being used and the excitation mechanism.

If the structure is lightly damped, active damping (by means of velocity or force feedback) is always a good option. However, if the excitation mechanism is known, also feedforward approaches (e.g. based on the FxLMS algorithm) are highly recommended.

You should also keep in mind, that controllers based on state feedback will require state estimation which might be prone to modeling errors.

I wish you all the best with your work. After several years of research, AVC is still a highly interessing topic for me ;-)

Thanks Jonathan Millitzer for your kind interest. Though Jumaa Salman Chiad shared few links about AVC but still i think a rigorous review is required. Because its not as straightforward. Based on parameters like actuator type, excitation mechanism, structure,etc its not yet studied.
