There are shell theories like Love's, Donnell-Vlasov, Sander's,etc genrally used. Which theory is applicable here based on the limiting ratio mentioned above ?

You may consider Euler's theory for buckling.
For example long column le/D > 12; Short column le/D
Dear Kumar Beam: For long beam you may use Euler beam theory. For short beam you may use higher order shear deformation theory. Shell: For thin shell (high R/h ratio) you may use membrane theory. For thick shell you may use higher order shear deformation theory.
I think you may try the Donnell-Vlasov theory.
The theory can be used to analyze the shell's R/h ratio
Vlasov theory is applicable of thin walled structure (long thin-walled beams) under torsion
