I have been trying to model droplet dynamics over the solid surface when wettability gradient (Contact angle of the surface) is changed in COMSOL Multiphysics. However, the basic model has been developed very easily through phase field method. But, depending upon the surface roughness or hysteresis, the contact angle is supossed to be dynamic in nature. The expression for Dynamic contact angle is already available which is a function of contact line velocity (given in the attached file). The basic geometry file is attached herewith. Can anyone please help me to uderstand that how the velocity of contact point (at three phase contact line) can be evaluated and used as variable in Comsol.

P.S.- No-slip boundary condition is applied over the solid surface. However, The contact point moves when there will be change in contact angle.
