Meta analysis is when you study a community and don't have information about the community structure and constitution. Term most commonly used for the microbial studies, environmental or ecological research.

A meta-analysis uses data from several independent studies together with idea of higher statistical power in one analysis. Here is detailed examples:

You can also consider computer aided drug discovery. The course can include introduction to protein and chemical compound libraries and molecular docking using autodock tools. Dont forget to introduce them to Pymol for viewing protein and compound structures
