As for publications, what I know of are the ones I'm publishing, two currently submitted for review taken from my extended dissertation research. I do have a poster with the pilot study here on RG, but there is very limited knowledge on parent-child reconciliation and none that I can find on parental apologies specifically. I have the P-PAM measure translated to Russian and roughly to Korean, but neither have been validated as of yet.

I'm from Poland. Methods used in Your research are not translated and validated into polish, so questionnaires must be translated to a polish version.

I'm student of psychology, but i'm interested in developmental and family psychology and I have some experience in cooperation with research companies and some projects during my studies.

Everyone, I am so excited to begin. This is as cutting edge as I've ever seen since there are very little studies out there relating to this subject. The main (and only source) right now is my dissertation work, which I think you will find very interesting. It raises issues/opportunities regarding same-sex parenting, mindful parenting, generational influence on parenting, etc. RG will be the first place I'll post my work once I have the final blessing from my institution.

In the next couple of days I will be organizing a tracking system and begin messaging all of you directly to introduce myself and find out what your particular interests are in regard to this paper. I'm very organized, but more so flexible. My hope is that all of you will have as much fun as I know I will.

This will be a large undertaking, but I'm certainly up for the challenge and, more than anything, look forward to working with all of you! More to follow soon. If you have any questions in the mean time, please feel free to ask.

I am also interested.  I had not thought about apologizing tendencies but suspect they might be associated with mind-mindedness as well as with mindfulness. I will have final year students and MSc students starting work on their dissertations in October and may be able to collect data with their help.

Dear Eliane, I like your positive think and you happiness about our reaction. I agree with Ximena: the test could be first validation in the original language. 

If the investigation is going to be together, I need to submit my institution IRB and obtain approval for it.

The issue is complex and need from a single conceptual and methodological framework, no? I have not done work with foreign institutions before. You will learn we go together.

I sent out my completed dissertation to everyone via messaging where my pilot study used for the poster here on RG is outlined in detail. The validity and reliability report came back solid. However, parallel to an international study, I am currently running a replication study here in the US, so we all will have a multitude of perspectives to look at.

The theoretical framework I'm leapfrogging off of is the Emotional Security Theory. I'm thinking it may be best practice to create a dropbox shared folder where I can upload all the dominant articles I have referenced in my studies thus far. Would that work well for everyone?

My research focuses on children's experiences of abuse and neglect and in some cases permanent removal from their birth family and placement for adoption. As children often have ongoing contact with abusive or neglectful birth families this raises lots of issues around repairing relationships in childhood and where there is a reunion in adulthood. I'm not aware that anyone has looked at the role of apologies or self compassion in these difficult circumstances. Have you come across this?

Christine, only my research has hinted toward this. One of the measures I used for my dissertation is a validated predictor of abuse, which is one of the next analysis I intend to carve out and determine if there is a correlation.

In my 1-3-5 plan, at 3 is to develop an intervention to hopefully foster mindful thinking and guide parents to understand the significant ramifications for apologizing. The challenge/opportunity I have right now is that there are no cultures that I know of that actively engage in apology practice; however, forgiveness (which is not the same) is more explored.
