These setting will help you in rotor dynamics simulation.You have to specify the damping ratio.if you find the forced vibrations equation you can easily understand what you have to give those inputs.

I tried to understand this setting by considering cantilever beam condition and applying different damping ratio values. Every time the difference observed was in terms of frequency. Frequency reduced with increase in damping ratio, which is obviously expected. But the deformation value obtained was same. Hence I want to know how ansys solves this when I am using damping ratio.

Is there any setting which can help me get changed deformation also?
