What is the role of pH in the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) investigated?

For the reduction synthesis of AgNPs we use silver nitrate, sodium hydroxide and algae extract respectively to serve as precursor, accelerator, and reducing agent.

But Silver oxide - a displacement reaction occurs, but silver hydroxide isn’t thermodynamically stable and decomposes into the oxide:

2NaOH (aq) + 2AgNO3 (aq) → 2NaNO3 (aq) + Ag2O (s) + H2O (l).

How can we Separation the Ag2O and AgNPs?

The Steps I followed:

AgNPs were biosynthesized by adding 19 mL (20 mM) of AgNO3 solution to 1 mL of algae extract. The pH of the reaction mixture has been adjusted to pH 10 by NaOH.

Please suggest something to help me!

Thanks a lot!
