How to synchronize the lock-in amplifier with the signal and reference photodiodes for Z-scan measurements of liquid samples?

Hello everyone,

I am first time using lock-in amplifier and based on the information I got from the internet to synchronize the two photodiodes with lock-in, the output signal must be zero without the sample. But, I am not getting it zero which may be appearing as a noise in the output signal of lock-in with the sample. Due to that, I am not able to see the signal from the sample. Does anyone have any idea to overcome this problem, or how to collect a good Z-scan signal?

Hi,

I don't work with lock-in amplifiers and photodiodes but maybe IR-cut filters can help to minimize noise and even the use of a low pass filter.
