Please , i want to know how to reduce the agglomeration of my powder without touching the carbon coating of the particles and keep the same grain size ?
because using the ball milling process dammage the coating of carbon.

Dear Sabrina Tair , I understand your concern about maintaining the carbon coating and grain size of your powder while reducing agglomeration. Ball milling may not function perfectly in every situation. Sonication ,fluidization and Cryomilling can be excellent options for reducing agglomeration in your carbon-coated powder while preserving its delicate coating and grain size.

Hi Sabrina Tair , I do agree with Alvena Shahid regarding the sonication. It proved in my case that sonication can help break the agglomeration but too long sonication can cause re-agglomeration(due to heat built-up) and damage to the material as well. Sonication could be applied as a treatment instead of the main mixing technique. Hope it may help.

Sabrina Tair To effectively de-agglomerate your particles, you can go forward with ultrasonication technique. Probe sonication is more effective than bath sonication. Please keep in mind to frequently replace the water in the bath sonicator as build-up heat may lead to re-agglomeration of particles or damage the instrument.

I think its depend on the material and medium that used in the method. Those will effect on the efficiency of the treatment as well.My suggestion is you can try with time first since its much easier to be control and suitable as preliminary study. Hope its help Thank you
