Solar still absorbs radiation to evaporate water, so it involves muti-phase. What are the boundary condition when solar still basin (metal) insulated(wood) and top surface is closed with glazing that allows solar radiation and condense the evaporated vapour. Here water is in a stationary position.
Actually this is possible just with the help of ANSYS FLUENT modules without any necessity to use any third party code. Actually after performing raytracing simulation, the heat flux distrbituion on whatever Boundries which you would like to transform information on, should be stored in a text file in a specific order. Then that data is interpreted in FLUNET and is assigned to a UDS array.Then with the help of a simple UDF code, UDS is copied and stored in UDM to carry heat flux distribution in each FLUENT iteration. It may seem a bit complicated but actually it is simple.

You are first required to model the solar flux in UDF. The temperature gradients with in immediate wall of solar still and fluid has to be accurately computed which is very important for heat transfer through the both diffusion and advection alone. If that gradient is not accurate then you wont get the desired results. In order to accomplish this task you need to have a finer mesh in that zone. You are also required to compute the convention loss occurring at the outer body of irradiated surface. Since phase change i happen you are also required to model the phase change transport in UDF. also apply the insulated condition at the lower surface of solar still which is normally a usual prcatice
