In the study, 5 Bacteria (A,B,C,D and E) are determined for growth at various temperature (10,20,30,40 and 50 degree c.) ,different pH (5,6, 7, 8 and 9) and agitation (0, 50,100,150 and 200 rpm).
which type of ANOVA should be used (One way or Two way) for study of effect of these parameters?
which options should select among ANOVA test and post hoc while using SPSS 16.0 version?
Dear Dr.Sagar,
Before you think about applying ANOVA , could you please tell us about the sample size and its distribution.
If the sample size is substantial and following normality go for ANOVA, otherwise it is better to apply it non-parametric equivalent test - Kruksal-Wallis test.
SPSS does not have post-hoc analysis facility with non-parametric tests.

Dear Dr. Ravi sir,
As I have given in question, I have 5 organisms (independent factors) and 3 dependent factors (1st Temp., 2nd pH and 3rd Rotation ), each factor have 5 levels. For each dependent factor I have 25 observations (75 observations if results took in Triplicates). As i have Three factors, I have total 75 observation (225 observations if Triplicates results took into considerations). so I can I perform ANOVA for such case.
