Along the iron ore beneficiation and pelletizing process chain there are some equipments that works in batch.

In the dewatering stages, for example, this is the case with vacuum disk filters, which deposit filtered ore on a conveyor belt for downstream processes.

The sampling objective would be the introduction of on-line analytical instruments to measure some variables for process control purposes.

How to sample this ore in batches in a representative way, since the Brazilian standard of sampling only contemplates the case of representativeness sampling in ore for continuous flows of material? Would the ore free-fall within the batch process be a predominant factor that could make the sampling procedure unfeasible?
