As a part of my research, I was trying to derive an expression for a four layer medium using Transfer-Matrix method by the Fresnel equation concept. While I was trying to developed the equations , below I have uploaded how I calculated the Fresnel reflectance coefficient , though I know the solution which I want to achieve ,shared as main equation in "png" format. I am still not able to reach the equation even after verifying many times in terms of calculation. I don't know if it is appropriate platform to ask this mathematical question, please do have a look and let me know what I can do to achieve the required equation, as this can help me to work on this concept in depth.
