I am using Phenol – Chloroform protocol for Chlamydia trachomatis DNA extraction from cervical swab. I get good quality DNA after measuring with NanoDrop spectrophotometer. However, there is phenol contamination on the DNA. Should I continue with PCR? Or should I clean phenol contamination? And how do I clean phenol contamination in these DNAs? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
