hi, does anyone have idea upon measurement of results of comet assay without using a specific software? alternatively could anyone suggest me a free software for quantification of my results?
Hi, the first step is to capture good images at 10X magnification from 100 to 200 comets per treatment , then you can analyse it by visual score, Andrew Collins 1993 method of use CASP software it is free or OpenComet and ImageJ Macro works pretty well is your 10X images are in optimal focus
This is a link for Comet Assay IV software. It's the best, but expensive. You have 30 days trial vesion to download on the site. You just need to plan your experiments so to use trial version for much results analysis as possible.
