I am planning to perform SDM of an endangered tree in western ghats mountain range of India. When I do the projection of present conditions to the LGM, the distribution area overlaps with the sea. It is not correct. May I know the step by step procedure to project the current climatic preference of a species to the LGM or LIG and future.

Check the BAM configuration for your species, and be willing not to try, or to make major modifications to what seems like the obvious path, or you may make errors. Yes Luis!!!! You may be correct!!!....There was a coastal area expansion during LGM. But I do not exactly whether plant species had moved towards the coast during LGM in Indian scenario. This makes me so confused.
I often find such "expansions-into-sea" during LGM in models of harvestmen. And as you, I do not know if those projections have sense... Please take into account that these projections (whenever "accurate", what always has an amount of uncertainty) speak on "suitability", not necessarily on effective occupation, which may largely vary among the taxon´s ability to disperse, etc. Models and projections are by no means a revealed truth across the whole map, but a hypothesis which is suited for further testing; for example, using molecular markers.
