I read that sometimes used only NaCl or with KCl to prepare PBS. I want to dissolve MTT so I need PBS. I see different PBS preparations, some have NaCl, NaH2PO4, KCl and KH2PO4 but some have only NaCl, Na2HPO4 not use KCl and KH2PO4.
I do not understand, please would you explain?

There are several recipes to prepare PBS solution. The essential solution should contain water, sodium hydrogen phosphate, and sodium chloride. Depending upon your need, you may select the PBS recipe. Therefore, there are some preparations which contain potassium chloride and potassium dihydrogen phosphate as well. EDTA may also be added in cellular preparation to prevent clumping.
Sometimes, PBS is not ideal for use in solutions that contain divalent cations like Fe2+ and Zn2+ because precipitation may occur. There are also some PBS solutions that do contain calcium or magnesium.
A typical chemical composition of 1X PBS is as follows:
NaCl: 137 mM
KCl: 2.7 mM
Na2HPO4: 10 mM
KH2PO4: 1.8 mM
To dissolve MTT, I suggest you prepare PBS which includes NaCl, KCl, Na2HPO4and KH2PO4.
