I'm trying to model the rainfall effect on airfoil aerodynamics.
I noticed in few papers, injector is placed upstream of airfoil which means air and rain travels in same direction and also in same velocity.

I'm concerned how to model the rainfall, parallel to the air from inlet or perpendicular to the air.
Why don't you make a vector addition out of the vertical speed of the falling raindrops and the horizontal airspeed of the aircraft? Then you can easily calculate the impact angle.
Aditya Vedanth Your assumptions are wrong because you can't define water at inlet 2 as continuous. Please refer to the paper I have included in my question.
Aditya Vedanth I humbly request you to have a look on my question and my reply. I have performed this modelling. The reply you gave is considering the flow to be continuous which can't be assumed because rain is discrete and not continuous and also my concern is about angle of rain and not on angle of attack.
