How to measure G-mass protein in laboratory?

I need the formal ways to measure G-Mass in any water and sediment samples

Please define G-mass. If it is just what there is in water apart from H2O, there is a very simple method using a very simple device, namely an osmometer. You would directly obtain the g/l of matter in water.
