Hi all,

I am running a drag force analysis of the tractor-trailer. previously, I ran a simulation using Ansys Fluent but now I am moving towards experimental validation in a wind tunnel. I want to install pressure taps/sensors on the tractor-trailer body to get the pressure field around the tractor-trailer. And then from that pressure field, I will calculate drag coefficient.

This is the first time I am working on this kind of problem, and I am not sure what location I should select to apply pressure taps and what formulas I can use to calculate the drag coefficient. Most researchers use load cells or force balance. I could not find any relevant paper which has done this sort of work before. Could you please suggest to me any literature or any suggestion on how can I find drag coefficient of whole tractor-trailer geometry from the known pressure field around it?

I hope my question is clear but feel free to ask for further information.

Thanks
