I'm finding much data about PLA2 inhibitors, but the experiments were carried out on humans.
Since I'm working on yeast mitochondria, I was wondering if a yeast PLA2 inhibitor exists.
If anyone knows another inhibitor, used on humans mitochondria, that works on yeast too, that would be great

I´ve never heard anything regarding inhibitors of PLA2 from yeast...but my group has years of experience with using of OBAA (an inhibitor of the sanke venom PLA2).. The inhibitory potency of ABAAs increased with the length of the alkyl residues resulting in IC50 values of between 10(-7) and 10(-4) mol/L. The most potent inhibitors of the snake venom PLA2 were the 4-(n)-hexadecyl and octadecyl (OBAA) derivatives. Kinetic experiments referred to a time-dependent inhibitory reaction...These drugs has a very good specificity against PLA2, without cross interactions with PLC or PLD...I think you should try the OBAA inhibitor against the yeast PLA2 just to see if it will works...
