How to infer genetic or nucleotide diversity between different species?

We can easily calculate genetic/nucleotide diversity using softwares. For example, DnaSP. But, what does the values signify (Pi, Theta, Eta, S, K). How to interpret the result? Say Pi=0.0945 & Theta from Eta=0.095. Also what does the values obtained in pairwise distance analysis signify?
