1) In winter drop in temperature slows down a plant's metabolism largely because the enzymes that drive these biochemical reactions don't work so well in the cold. Photosynthesis slows, respiration slows, growth stops. The simple solution is giving borewell water irrigation in the mid night everyday for sometime. The growth will be better than normal.
2) Simply apply poultry manure as it creates heat in the surrounding to improve tolerance to chilling injury.
Thank you Shrishail Duggi for the metabolism change and recommendation. Spraing water is a good remedy. If poultry manure applied to crop, how long it will take to decompose in field condition? How much quantity to be applied?
Decomposition requires more time when temperatures are low, my suggestions are to withstand chilling effect. Quantity depends on your plant population.
