The assignment of the mechanism of thermal decomposition is based on the assumption that the form of g(alpha) depends on the reaction. The main reaction mechanisms that i've identified in literature are attached in picture (for reference).
Now my question is
1. To determine the correlation coefficients what is the procedure (should a graph be plotted between g(alpha) Vs (1/Temp) or any other procedure, kindly explain)?
2. The activation energy was obtained for wheat husk pyrolysis by using two methods (KAS and OFW), with and with out using catalyst. The activation energy was found to be high when catalyst was used (To the best of my knowledge, when a catalyst is used the activation energy should be lower). Is this possible? Kindly provide a detailed explanation.
Thanks a million in advance
