I try to model a diffusion process in a channel with cross-flow tubes in 3D. Since it is 3D and there are so many cross-tubes, it requires a huge computational cost. That is why I want to solve laminar flow for only one of them and apply the solution to the others. How can I generate repetitive solution domains in COMSOL? I want to repeat the flow solution for cross-tubes and combine the solution with diffusion and main channel flow.
In general in COMSOL you can make several steps in a single study, or make a study that relates back to a previous study. You will then for the second step/study need to define under Values of Dependent Variables-Settings to be User controlled, the method that applies for you, and which study to refer to. The suggestion given by Rene Christensen is a good one. Partition the different requirements into separate components and studies and link them later on using the multiphysics module.
You may also try using the periodic BC in Comsol and merge the solutions later.
