I have generated a sizing and refinement mesh for a 2D model I am working on. The geometry of the model seems to have created a skewed mesh. My mesh size is 0.5 mm. Do you have any suggestions on fixing the hole and skewed portions of my mesh?

The triangle element to the top right of the L shaped hole would suggest the grid density on the left boundary doesn't exactly match that on the right (the number of cells from the top of the L shape to the top boundary to the right of the triangle element are 10 while 8 to the left of the right triangle element). A more hands-on meshing approach would be to divide your domain to multiple rectangular blocks (easy with your geometry) and do a block based meshing.
Yes what Chitrarth is saying is correct. Divide the domain in blocks and then do sizing. This is very simple way of removing those triangular elements.

You can divide the geometry into different sections using the design modeler. I think you can find tutorials that showcase this approach.

Divide the domain in rectangular blocks as shown in figure or you can also figure out better way. You can view cornell university tutorial on supersonic flow over a edge to do this.
