A lot of articals evaluating cultural elements in EFL textbooks by empolying various theoritical frameworks such as Byram's checklist and Cortazzi & Jin's approach who divide culture into source culture, target culture, and international culture. I am interested in how to evaluate chinese cultural representations in English books. Is it suitable to use the above theoritical frameworks to evaluate chinese cultural representations in English books? Hope I can get some related papers or ideas from all of you, thank you very much.
