I would like to study the induction of bacteriophages; thus, I will need a strain of lysogenic bacteria (let's say E. coli) that will produce phages upon induction and another strain (reporter) that will be sensitive to infection with the induced phages.
Could you suggest an E. coli strain (serovar) that is known to be surely lysogenic and a reporter strain I could use?

If you wish to order from ATCC then the following would work:
ATCC 10798 is a lambda lysogen strain
ATCC 12435 is a traditional indicator strain for lambda (although most other K12 strains will work fine as well).
