I would like to investigate the surface of bacteria using electron microscopy to assess changes in specific conditions.
Is there an established protocol for that?
Thank you.
Luigi Marongiu You say you want to investigate the surface but you talk about staining. What type of electron microscopy do you want to use in your studies?
To visualize bacteria in the electron microscope, I prefix the bacteria in osmium and stain ultrathin sections with uranyl acetate and lead citrate.
Hello, I suspect that a molecule I am using is causing bacteria to experience osmotic shock. What chemical properties should I look for to compare this capability with those of other substances?...
