I need to prepare a polymer-substrate for Kapton foil by spin-coating. After applying the Kapton I need to spin a layer of PMMA on the Kapton and subsequently release the Kapton from the polymer substrate. Is there a good combination (basically the Kapton should be less adhesive on the substrate than on the PMMA) of materials for that?
you might consider applying Teflon or Silicon sprays on Kapton before spin-coating.but I am not sure whether it could solve your problem or not!
Try Kapton FEP. It works very well with polycarbonates, might work just as well with acrylates
I think if the polymer layer could be extremely smooth, the separation would not be hard. I have done experiment before. The only difference is that I am not using polymer as substrate Before separation, you need to use a little knife to cut a bit.
