Dear Colleagues!
This question might be a bit outside of the usual scientific questions here but I found it a rather interesting and often overlooked perspective on this "trend research" topic that has gained so much attention over the past 5 years.
With "lead free" initiatives such as ROHS the use of lead is strongly discouraged, yet so many groups working on the lead-based halide perovskites are hinting that industry might be very interested in commercializing this technology (mostly to sell the research maybe?).
I wonder, what is the realistic option for, lets assume a CH3NH3PbI3-based solar panel in the framework of European regulations?
With lead scandals (e.g. Flint water crisis) I think companies will be less than thrilled to introduce this technology.

Fully agree with Prof. Artur Sir's view. As a chemist, I think heavy metals should avoided even there is their practical application..because we should think about the future of our planet not publication and grant for the proposal even people are died.
