I have tried to download the new version of the worldclim bioclimatic layers in the R console, since this way I can download spatial subsets. Does anyone have a code that works with the new worldClim version 2.1 layers?
Never used it, but it seems like rgdal can make subscripts (in R programing language).

Sorry for that, I sporadically use worldclim.
However, this one looks like it's working with Version 2.1 although it downloads everything and subsets on the local computer

Well in the link is the same question.
The objective is not to download 10GB of information from around the world and only download the information for a region of interest. Apparently this function is not available yet.

I used this code below, you can change the url to that of the resolution you are downloading ( right click on the resolution you want and copy). Also don't forget to change the name in destfile to match the name of the file (you can know the exact name if you tried normally downloading it on your PC, the name will appear in the downloads page).
