How to distinguish between new collagen fibers and old ones in an ECM gel using Masson's trichrome staining?

hello, I have a scaffold with three layers, two synthetic polymer layers and one central layer made of ECM gel seeded with SMCs. After in vivo culture, how can I determine through Masson's trichrome staining which are the new collagen fibers?
