We are working on a coral nursery.

We took sample from coral in the sea and we are about to fragment those coral with the purpose of out planting them on the reef.

We want to keep those first coral so they can produce a new generations.

I was wondering how other people name those generation. And how keep track of who is coming from where.

Can anybody help me in pointing a paper, research or suggestions ?
