I have a concentrated solution of a toxin(50 micromolar) in DMSO 100%. I need to dilute it inorder to dilute both the toxin and DMSO wich can be toxic to cells.
Which would you guys recommend to dilute the solution with? Distilled water, PBS or...?
Just use the cell culture medium with 1% or 2% FBS (in order to minimize the possible contamination of FBS and toxin). By this way, you reduce both the toxic effects of DMSO on cells and your toxin concentration. Arta Berenji
Thank you dear Saleh, i considered your solution, but the problem is that cell culture media are not suitable for long term storage. I need to make a diluted stock to store for a long time.
