How to develope an oscillatory flow using a peristeltic pump?

I want to study the effect of oscillatory flow on the synthesis of gold nanoparticles in a tubular reactor. Is there any way to create such flow using a peristaltic pump?

A peristaltic pump will naturally create a pulsating flow.

Whenever the roller comes to the "open" position, pressure will slightly increase. You need to determine what frequency you are want to have and set a corresponding rpm for the peristalitic pump.

The flow rate is now more restricted, but you can modify it by using different size tubing.
