I am synthesising gold nanoparticles in a PTFE tubular reactor. How can I minimize fouling of nanoparticles on the surface of the reactor?
Teflon is one of the materials with the weakest adhesion. You can hardly do more.
I would not use plastic containers for synthesis
Fouling of the walls is a result of the unavoidable hetrogenous nucleation.
If you want to keep the walls clean you may try cover them removable coating. The selection of the coating material depends on preparation method.
