As with the standard procedures of determining level of nitrite/nitrate in phytoplankton culture medium before and after experiment, I wish also to determine the level of either vitamin B1 or vitamin B12 in the medium.

A quick search on the internet revealed this process generally required HPLC, which I do not have.

Is that other simple/rapid method known for determining level of vitamin B in liquid?

P/S: I'm referring to the f/2 culture medium of 30 ppt salinity for planktonic dinoflagellates.

Thanks.
