Is there any equation to estimate the life time of a nickel electroplating bath (Watts-type solution) based on the concentration of the used salts, current density, deposition time and cathode's surface area? Which other information about the process or the used solution must be clarified for this purpose (pH, solution's electrical conductivity or etc.)?
How to practically rejuvenate the used solution?
I think there is no such comprehensive equation to estimate the life time (efficiency) of nickel electroplating bath but I refer to item "quality control " within the article at the following link, it contain a bundle of practical knowledge about how to rejuvenate the used plating solution.

If you follow your bath and do the good maintenances, your nickel bath can live very hold. I work with a very hold nickel bath aged of 15 years and it works perfectly. It doesn't exist an equation to estimate the life time. Active carbon treatments, H2O2 or other treatments can be used periodically to regenerate the bath and continue its use.

Thank you dear Mr. Thomas Perrier for your response. I have a question. Have you added any content of nickel sulfate, nickle chloride or boric acid during this long period of time to your bath to rejuvenate it or you just controlled its pH?
Of course, you must add the necessary components in the bath in order to maintain the concentrations their optimal levels. This includes nickel sulfate, nickel chloride and boric acid.
Generally nickel sulfate is not often added because nickel ions is automatically added in the bath by the way of the nickel anodes. Chloride and boric acid are not consumed during electrodeposition but their concentrations decrease because of drag-out from bath to bath and you have to add these components to maintain the optimal concentrations. Depending your bath, you can have organic components like brighteners and wetting agents. For them, they are consumed during plating and you have to add them based on charge passed in the bath (Amin) or by analyse of the components.
Of Couse when you treat your bath, change the filters, clean the anodes… you lose of small quantities of electrolyte that you must to add!!
